Zoo-day!
Magnifico! An abnormally bump-free day. We went to the zoo.
I'm a fervent fan of Zoos'.
The inhabitants of the respective Zoos in different countries may not reflect the kind of people you have on that land. However, the way a zoo is constructed and its organisation, in a way, gives a clear depiction of the country's administration. It's a habit of mine to first visit the Zoo (if available) in a foreign land before exploring the cultures and lifestyles of the people present in that particular land. You may not be able to tell what the people of the land are like... But when you realise how easy it is to end up going in rounds and getting lost in the zoo, you know what the city you are in is like. When you go to the zoo and realise all foreigners pay different entry fees depending on where you are from, you know what the city is like. When you go to the zoo and you realise its so darn hard to find the damn toilet, pal, you know what the city is like.
The Zoo is also a sanctuary of solace thats close to my heart. Sometimes humans, despite claiming to be civilised, starts submitting to their innermost animal instincts. They jostle through crowds, stab each other in the back, snatch food from others, essentially they go out of the norm just to hunt and satisfy their needs. Though 'needs' in their case won't be that basic after all. Nonetheless, they exhibit their need to survive and their desire for sustainance. In the rigors of our everyday life, we too sometimes unconsciously, take the primitive way out of things, or into depending on the individuals' point of view. Hence, the zoo is the best place for people to recuperate and reposses their humanly attributes.
If you look deep enough, you will see the simplicity of life, the essence of living and the drive to live, all in a comprehensive paradigm... When all else fails, listen to the animals...
-Baboons-
--serious search for fleas, next one in line getting quite impatient eh...familiar? heh
-Cheetahs-
--Ahh, a part of me just wants to give them a good back rub... the other part still wants to keep the hand.
-Chimpanzees-
--Having a private primate talk eh..
-Rhino-
--ahh, nothing like the red rhinos
