Bullcrap.

Countdown to my liberation: SIX WEEKS & TWO DAYS Being sick hurts. Im pinned to my bed, immobilised by the sudden numbness of both the mind and the body. But its a price worth paying for. Coz it means, no work. i've got a leaky nose and my head spins havoc up there. But hell, its a price worth paying for. Coz it means, no work. Do you not understand what a bummer i am. I hate working, especially when it means not doing anything and looking like your doing something so you do not appear like a slacker. Its a long yarn of irony all rolled up into a massive ball. Too bad it only lasted for a couple of days. I'm back in the office doing the whole essential 'stoning' ritual. This time around, made harder by the perpetual dripping of snot. Bleargh. I can't breathe properly, and the weather is so fine and cool. The air con is sedating me. It really doesn't help. I'm contemplating just falling asleep here. Sometimes, I wish I smoked... Anyways, no thanks to clar...

This is Today

Countdown to my liberation: SEVEN WEEKS & ZERO DAY I got to get out of the office this morning! Hoorah! We went to the areas near Simpang Bedok to go get some pictures. You know, normally, i'd be apprehensive about being photographed. A whole lot of pushing, shoving and dragging me by the hair goes into taking portrait of me. Its even worse when I am aware that this pieces are gonna be published on some form of brochures. But, today, I couldn't careless, hell it doesnt matter that I am in some super-ugly-retro-looking blouse, that i wouldn't wanna be caught dead in. It didnt matter that the sun decide it was fine time to turn on its maximum heating capacity on mother earth. It didnt matter that i had to pretend like I'm walking down a flight of stairs while looking at my phone. It didn't matter that I had to sit and pretend i was having a really substantial conversation with the other lady with me for as long as the shutters could flicker. It didnt bloody matter...

Crap!

Countdown to my liberation: SEVEN WEEKS & ONE DAY "If that faulty alarm don't stop ringing i will rip it off and no one will ever remember having that silly red thing there!" My ears are on the verge of bursting! Besides the sporadic bellows of the faulty alarm system, nothing much is keeping me busy. A moment ago I had to compile some assessment on excel sheet for results comparison. Excel and me, we are now buddies. *winks at excel as he nods in response* He is the only one who's been nice with me and not to the others. Yup, and i did that already.I was asked to assist in the drafting out of a formal letter of sympathy. (which im suppose to be doing now, instead of drafting my blog entry) I can't seem to be sympathetic now. I can't get in the zone, and unless i get in the ZONE, there is no way i'll be able to write something sensible. It might just end up like my blog entries. heh. I'm hungry... *Listening to Jason Mraz telling me how he'll t...

Delayed II

Countdown to my liberation: SEVEN WEEKS & TWO DAYS I have tuition today, after work. Man, i feel so wanted, like never before. *shuts eyes* I don't know if i could survive. I think i've been having gastric atacks in the past mornings. It's not like I don't eat or smtg, i take breakfast religiously. My mum prepares them for me and im still havig these insane pangs. Argh, suddenly feeling like shit. The morning today was extremely mundane. As i stood on the train, my mind wandered mischievously into an unknown realm. A dimension of cloudy uncertainties. I sieved through the tunnel of lavitated obstructions i couldn't quite decipher. Like those dreams of having to fleet through satin drapes hanging over you. This wasn't that serene. It was tormenting. I was semi conscious of my surrounding, coz they appeared in my nebulous realm as well. The beeping of the mrt doors, the monotonous announcements, the shuffling of heels, the rustling of the morning papers...the ...

Delayed I

Countdown to my liberation: SEVEN WEEKS & THREE DAYS Meetings, briefings, estate inspections...all these give me a reason to switch off and drift away. The limited pleasures of the workplace. Its funny how everyones conversation was pivoting around mosquitoes this morning. Oh yes. Mozzies. Coming up with action plans to annihiliate the mozzies. Oh no they have developed into a cluster. We need to comb the entire area. Hurry, hurry, we are needed for some mozzie inspection at so and so's precinct. Don't worry we'll be back by ten. Right see if i care. *rolls eyes* I wish i had internet. If i did, this wouldn't be a delayed post. I would probably update every hour of the day. Probably with pictures and more immense bitching. *yawns* Hmm, i thought meetings were suppose to be private. Everything is not what it should be here. They are having a meeting with their doors wide open and i could hear everything. Nothing interesting though. (like my post now) I'm off, to ...

Only happy when it Rains.

Countdown to my liberation: SEVEN WEEKS & FOUR Days I'm still working yes. WORKING. Ha! NO measurements, but it doesn't make it any better, trust me girls. One of my greatest regrets for now was asking Claryce to go update her blog. Bleargh. A minute ago, I was staring enviously at her LOAD of work. Yes, LOAD. How she has the time to capture shots of the ever so briliant skyline from the top of the damn roof! Hell, I'm stuck under a roof that just won't crumble. She even gets to stroll across the roof perimeter in her line of work. I get to stroll up and down the stairs and look really busy. Ha~ No sun. *Great vinna, a step to feeling better*. Anyways, kudos to Claryce and Shan for choosing the ideal job for PTS. *sticks out tongue in envy* SOoo it was another day in the mundane quarters of my workplace. I had a hand at assisting one of my many bosses in some management proposal. It was, well, brain-wrecking, but i survived. No worries, it wasn't potent enough...

Getting in Sync

Countdown to my liberation: EIGHT WEEKS & ZERO Days (I spelled 0 solely for the effect ok, im really not that silly) Its been a week. I only just realised that in the working world, women and old men have the most attitude. I mean attitude in all its negative connotation. Women, regardless of their ages and old men, who no longer could shoot. Yeah. Strange, but true. I have nothing more to talk about work. Im just sitting and watching the world pass me by. Occasionally, i too step into the moving world outside, to grab a bite or two for lunch. Well usually its more than two bites. Im becoming more and more of an emotional eater than i ever thought i could be. I know for sure now, I wouldn't want a job doing the whole management thing. Most of what thats needed to be done is merely making mountains out of molehill. Things that should have rightfully been already inculcated into an indivdual since the beginning of civilisation are made into action plans and are meted out in suc...

wink wink

Countdown to my liberation: EIGHT WEEKS & THREE DAYS Today was unexpectedly a better day. I got to go for visits. Yes, that means staying away from the ominous walls of the office. I liked it. I did. By the way, i have a report due at the end of the 9 weeks. You know, everyone keeps mistaking my stay for being 7 weeks. Im really tempted to just agree and say yes sir, im here for 7 weeks indeed. Haiz. But a part of me screams as my conscience nudge. Oh well, I must remember to bring my camera tmr, so i could take pictures should i make another trip OUT of the office. SO long sweet sunshine...Off to pray for the good of tomorrow.*winks*

Save me.

Countdown to my liberation: EIGHT WEEKS & FOUR DAYS It was the 1st day of my PTS. It was mundane. I could die. NO no, i could just sleep. I have a table, a phone, a computer a not-so-comfortable-bloody-noisy chair. I have carpeted flooring which makes me wanna just remove my shoes and walk around barefooted. I wanna roll out of my office clothes and jump around in my yoga pants. 8am to 5:30pm. My lock up time. I have lunch breaks from 1pm to 2pm. A tad of solace i could look forward to each day. I wish for the non-existence of civilisation. I have too many wishes and no genie to look up to. I'm screwed. This messes up my tuition and tv-time, BIGTIME. No more Jericho Rosales. *cries*

Screwd.

Image
Yes. Thats where i am to report for PTS tomorrow morning. My letter says to report at 9am. Apparently we'r suppose to work on saturdays too. Already feeling suffocated even before all this starts. The place itself is a turn off. I would feel better had i been thrown into some building in the middle of the CBD. It would be pretty daunting initially, but it would make me feel a tad better. Damn, a screwy day ahead...I don't wanna wake up! Thank the gods in heaven for this divine specimen. Dear lord, I hope you would be nice enough to hook me up with a dude like this one. I promise to be a nice girl. I will not talk behind people's back or talk bad about anyone for that matter. I will be the most angelic person on earth. I will do my prayers religiously and always do good. I will sing your praises every hour of the day. Oh lord, i promise to perform all my duties to you. I will give up my seat to that old lady on the train, hell even that scrawny anorexic kid will get her seat...

Another day out.

Image
It was a day of Photography. All armed with a camera each, we raided Raffles Place. Buildings, monuments, statues, rivers, bridges, people even lamp posts weren't spared. I love taking pictures. Here are some of what i managed to get. The one above is my favourite. I like how reality stands tall in the background of the object. This was taken at the escalator to the Roof Terrace of the Esplanade. I couldn't quite get an accurately measured shot of the scene, but essentially, its a box like-see-thru wall. We could view the elevated walkway through it. Pretty cool huh. For a moment there, they kinda looked like mannequins in a glass display. This is us. My sisters and i. I, of course, looking stupid as usual. Ah, perfect pearlies! How envious i've been. Heheh. The fingers on the piano of this picture kinda freaks me out. It looks scary man. I like how the buildings scale its way to the top in the background. It was one of those days, when i actually get to hang out with my si...

Mothers' day Blues.

Image
Lets see, whats been up. I was stucked between a group of smelly lads. I almost passed out. Thank god for Outram Station, where these lads alight. I could just die. I couldn't emphasise enough about the importance of smelling good. Seriously. I'd rather be shot dead than hafta sit through a journey with smelly lads. Bleargh, Singapore should include teaching hygiene issues in the curriculum. I had to put up with a pseudo-tech-savvy nyonya. I was under the impression, she just got her new phone or something or perhaps, someone just uploaded some mandarin RnB songs into her phone. On second thoughts, its definately a new phone! Well, the phone rang somewhere between Tanah Merah and Bedok, and she took so damn long to realise that it was actually her ring tone making the din and not some silly cheena woman deciding to practise her karaoke performance on the darn train! Silly! Her realisation came a tad too late, she started frantically rummaging through her fake Prada bag and voil...

You are Black n White.

Everything seems to fall into its rightful perspective when placed under monochrome lenses. Devoid of the vivid distractions. Naked facade of truth with no concealment. No worries about its unpredictability, its hidden agendas. It is all as it is. No covetness to meander around the truth. Wholesome.

Fat X

Image
The big fat X! I'm getting all jittery about monday. :( I'm scared. Im struck with a whole lotta 'what ifs'. What if my boss is a tyrant? What if I get loaded with insane workload? What if the ppl at the workplace are super hostile? What if its another piece of living hell? What if my pants split on the way to work? Work?! Its like gonna be my first official JOB. A job with a meagre pay. Oh my god. I'm freaking out. I need five pairs of work clothes and go with the idea of permutating the combination of tops and bottoms. Bleargh. I never really imagined myself fretting over working clothes. Its so beyond my sense of whats real. Gosh. Enough about my ailment. I went to club 392 last saturday, erm, with my parents. I must admit, it was a rather weird experience. Well, the music at the club was nice, its a good concoction of r&b, rock, soul and funk. But the interior deco was kinda blinding really. It was super psychadelic, like bolts and shots of neon glowy light ...

BBQ2

Image
We finally had that much awaited BBQ. It was D-day. A day of letting loose and binging all you can. I had my mum make us some fried bee hoon while i had it going with the cupcakes (again, i need to move on and work on smtg else man). Shan's uncle was nice enuff to offer me a ride to Sherlin's place, thankfully, he's really good with directions. If i had to make my own way to her place, I'd have been lost. Seriously. I had a hard time walking out after the bbq, i'll touch on that a lil later. Anyways, so we arrived there safely and very much earlier than we thought we'd be. One of the rare times when i'm actually amongst the early birds. Yes, there they are, the early birds - Asilah, Claryce, Sook Teen, Moi, Sherlin, Huishan. I know, i looked kinda overdressed for a barbeque but i cant help it. There was no way am i gonna drop by Harry's in slippers and shorts. ;) That, another tale i'd much wanna talk about in a bit. So almost the entire lot on the ...

Oooh wee

Image
The exams are gone, for now. They'll come back again, with increased potence. Ha! But till then, I'll bask in this new found liberation. I guess everything in the world is pretty much relatively judged. Einstein's right. ...and if theres any truth in what Darwin speaks of, then my descendants probably looked something like this back then... Yes, the exams have driven me off the edge. Its overwhelming, to the point that I'm actually grossly tickled by it. God. Come to think of it, there really isn't much difference between that homosapien and my state now, besides the massive cover of hair. The resemblance.... Hmm, for the rest of the gang yeah, enjoy the hols! Ooooh weee, i can't wait for Sat's bbq!
