A weak lampoon spurred agitation.
OK... I was trying to curb my need to let out my two cents worth of thoughts about that much talked about CaRtoOns. But i cant...
Just let me say smtg....
First, i do think the cartoons are funny. Its meant to be satirical right? And yes, having someone say Stop, we ran out of virgins at the gateway of heaven IS funny. The bomb planted in the turban's tickled me too. It would have been more hilarious if a face of someone we are familiar with was potrayed. We get the crux of it really, that the cartoons were made solely out of mockery and a weak excuse of freedom of speech. I think what made it step over the margin of blasphemy was the false depiction of the much revered Prophet. Muslims shudder at the mere thought of him and no one in the last 14 centuries ever did attempted to give the Prophet a face, let alone put him on canvas for everyones indulgence. I say it was blasphemous and rather insolent for the danes to have allowed the publishing of such a touchy affair. I can't say they were ignorant. They really aren't. They knew what a mess they were getting in, i guess they just became suicidal. Perhaps the lack of a Death sentence got them thinking they could get away with everything huh. We'll see. Congrats by the way, in making your way, probably to the top of the Next Attack-terrorist list. nice going.
Well, whatever the case is, i condemn the attacks made to the danish embassies in Iran and Syria. Violence is not a solution. Will never be a solution. Unless you are dealing with a rapist, which you are certainly not here. Notice how the danes were at first using the weak defence of freedom of speech. Hehe, they kinda stopped doing that now. Latest weapon, hauling the blame on one of their muslim official for having brought the cartoons to the middle east. Heh....and please Ms Rice, stay out of it.
